This Sunday, May 25, the head of the VEN25+ Campaign Command, Jorge Rodríguez, said that the voting process is taking place in peace and with a significant influx of Venezuelans in electoral centers across the country.

“Today is a historic day and it is also a profoundly auspicious day, historic because peace has triumphed (...) and according to the reports we have, the electoral process is taking place in absolute peace (...) and it must also be said that there is a significant influx of voting machines,” he said after exercising his right to vote.

He emphasized that today the People of Venezuela express to the world that “political, social, economic issues and issues of confrontation of ideas are resolved in voting machines, in the face of calls for violence and extra constitutional solutions, what the People are saying in the voting machines is that they want peace, harmony and that above all they want to express in fruitful dialogue, because that is a choice.”

He also recalled that in this process, more than 600 popular elected positions are elected. At the same time, he reaffirmed the importance of this electoral process, since for the first time Venezuelans will be able to elect for the first time the governor and legislators of Guiana Esequiba.

He took the opportunity to call on the People to come out and exercise their right to vote to choose their governors and deputies to the National Assembly.
