The head of the Unified Command of the Bolivarian Revolution, Jorge Rodríguez, reported that 18 Venezuelan boys and girls are being kidnapped by the United States Government.
During a press conference, he demanded the immediate repatriation of minors and noted that the National Government will activate mechanisms before multilateral bodies, despite the lack of response from some international organizations. “We are not going to rest until we achieve the return of every girl and boy who is in this situation,” she said.
Rodríguez directly questioned U.S. Senator Marco Rubio about his role in U.S. immigration policy.
“Mr. Marco Rubio, give us back our children. What crime did Itan Manuel Padilla commit to being subjected to this punishment? What was the reason for separating Cristian Hurtado from his mother? You have been a father, you have been a grandfather, how would you justify this?” , he stated.
El Rodríguez reiterated that most of the cases concern minors whose mothers were deported without family support. He mentioned Mía Rodríguez Suárez, Monserrat Guillén, Milan Salas Torres, among others, minors, as part of the cases that have been kidnapped after being separated from their families.
“We want them back to us, they don't have to! It's outrageous what they're doing is a crime against humanity,” he emphasized.
Finally, he called on representatives of multilateral organizations such as the United Nations (UN) and demanded that explanations be offered on the legal grounds that underpin these actions.
