Jorge Rodríguez: We are people of peace

The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, stressed that Venezuela defends itself and will continue to defend itself against imperial threats.
During the Assembly of the Peoples for the Sovereignty and Peace of Our America, Rodríguez emphasized that the Venezuelan people love peace.
“We are people of peace... we love peace, but the peace of free women and men, the peace of unsubmissive peoples, the peace of sovereign peoples,” he said.
He stressed that Venezuela has not called for aggression or slander, but warned that, if an attempt is made to violate the Republic's territory, skies, seas or rivers, the people are willing to fight and even give their lives to defend their homeland.
“We are united around what is common to us: the land where our ancestors rest. President Maduro, the people of Venezuela and the Bolivarian Revolution, together with those who do not agree with the ideas of Chavism, agree in the defense of the sacred national territory,” said Rodríguez.
