The president of the National Assembly (AN), deputy Jorge Rodríguez, assured this Monday, February 19, that the revolutionary forces do not discriminate against any factor in the Venezuelan political sphere.

“We are not here to discriminate against any factor in the political life of Venezuela,” he emphasized.

For this reason, he affirmed that those who persist “in having a double agenda based on violence, on aggression, will undoubtedly be swept away by the wheel of history”.

He made the statement outside the Federal Legislative Palace, where he provided statements regarding the meeting with representatives of the opposition to set the electoral schedule.

Regarding the meeting, he said that “it has been an intense day of work on the part of this commission appointed by the AN, in order to merge with proposals of national consensus the elaboration of the electoral calendar”

In this regard, he specified that “we are meeting with 42 parties that make up the highest political spectrum and 33 organizations of the Venezuelan opposition.”

“We are at the height of this process of dialogue with everyone. Dialogue is a natural exercise in any democratic process, what we need to be clear about is that dialogue is not synonymous with impunity,” he said.

Rodríguez reiterated that the Presidential Elections 2024 will be held under the extensive electoral guarantees that the Venezuelan State has always provided.
