Venezuelan athlete José “Gollito” Estredo won the gold medal in men's sailing at the Ayacucho-Lima Bolivarian Games.

Estredo climbed to the top of the podium in the competition held at the Peruvian Yatch Club of Paracas, in Lima, with a total of seven points to lead the regatta standings, ahead of the Peruvian Bruno Mendoza (15 points) and the Dominican Samuel Pérez (18).

For her part, Daniela Rivera won bronze in the sunlish category, with 11 units to complete the podium alongside Peruvian Adriana Barron and Sophie Zimmernnan, who finished with gold and silver, respectively, with eight points each, according to the Ministry of Sport.

Venezuela is in second place in the medal table with a total of 141 medals divided into 45 gold, 34 silver and 38 bronze. Colombia is the leader with 141 medals (60 gold, 51 silver and 30 bronze), while the local representation, Peru, is third with 84 metals (60 gold, 51 silver and 30 bronze).
