The athlete from Anzoatigua José Placid becomes the Men's National Champion in the Eight Ball category after beating Falconi Luis Muñoz in a close final, with a score of 6 to 5.
The national billiard champion is focused on going to the Pan American Games and representing Venezuela.
Since February 15, Placid began his participation after a month of intense preparation in Caracas. “It has been a month of great preparation; I am from the East and I have been here (in Caracas) without seeing my family. In the end, it all paid off.”
He also aspires to continue to harvest great results in more national events and to participate in competitions that demonstrate his talent at an international level.
On the other hand, the second and third places went to the Falconian Luis Muñoz and the Monaguense Emigdio Velázquez, who made up the podium of this Bola Ocho competition.
For his part, the Anzoatiguense and youth revelation of the tournament Anthony Rodríguez won a well-deserved fourth place as a result of a great first participation in the adult category.
