This Thursday, the Venezuelan karate delegation successfully began its journey to the Central American and Caribbean Games 2026, achieving the first official classifications during the qualifying competition that takes place in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The athlete Daniela García stood out as the first Venezuelan to register her name in the regional event after an impeccable performance in the Women's Individual Kata modality, demonstrating the high technical level that the country maintains in this combat discipline.
The national success spread rapidly with the classification of Cleiver Casanova, who confirmed his hierarchy on the tatami by securing his place in the Men's Individual Kata.
