Katherine Paredes won the gold medal at the XX Ayacucho-Lima 2025 Bolivarian Games in the women's individual sabre and Andrea Moros won bronze in the same event, while Janderson Briceño won silver .

The sablista started the day winning three of four matches in La Poule. He then dominated Jamaica's Mya Spears in the quarterfinals, 15-12. In the semifinal there was a Venezuelan duel and she beat Andrea Moros from Caracas 15-10 to reach the final in which she defeated Colombia's María Blanco 15-10.

For her part, Andrea Moros won all her fights in La Poule. Bolivia's Camila Torrico was her first victim in the main draw, 15-6 and then yielded to the gold medalist.

Meanwhile, Janderson Briceño won four fights in La Poule as did José Briceño. He beat Vicente Otayza in the quarterfinals 15-12 and Miguel Grajales from Colombia in the semifinals, 15-11. In the final he yielded 15-5 to Renzo Fukuda from Peru, to take the silver one.

On the other hand, José Briceño was unable to make it to the semifinals after falling 15-12 precisely to Miguel Grajales. This Thursday, team events will be held in the men's sword and the women's foil.
