In a dramatic match played at the José Joaquín Papá Carrillo Gymnasium, Vinotinto de Las Altura managed to dominate Chile with a tight score of 73 to 72 and entered its name in the AmeriCup 2025.
The best of the Venezuelan quintet was Yohanner Sifontes after scoring 14 points, capturing 2 rebounds and distributing 3 assists.
Another of the heroes of the match was Anyelo Cisneros, the forward of Cocodrilos de Caracas in the Professional Basketball Super League, who contributed 13 points, took 6 rebounds, distributed 2 assists, stole 3 balls and gave 2 blocks.
With a solid defense and a strong attack, an inspired Venezuela forced overtime and was left with the victory.
Vinotinto de Las Alturas had also won 67-64 at home in the previous match from Argentina.
The AmeriCup will take place from August 23 to 31 in Nicaragua.
