The mud that still remains in the areas affected by the DANA, which occurred in several sectors of the Valencia region in Spain, was used by its inhabitants to throw balls at the king of Spain, Felipe VI, who came to the area six days after this catastrophe, which totaled more than 210 deaths.

Felipe, who came to the area with his wife Leticia and the head of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, was not allowed to enter the Paiporta area, from where he had to be evacuated by his security team due to the growing position of rejection assumed by the inhabitants of this territory, who, outraged by the absence of an effective response from the institutions of the Iberian nation, chanted “murderer, murderer”.

In addition to the voices of rejection and throwing mud, the inhabitants added objects such as bottles, sticks and everything they had at hand, in an action that evidences the growing rejection of the Spanish population against the monarchy and its privileges.

Alfafar, Chiva, Utiel, Catarroja, Paiporta, Sedaví, Massassa and Aldaia are Valencian municipalities that will be marked by the recent catastrophe. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued an orange alert on the Valencian coast for heavy rains, warning of persistent showers in areas already affected by the floods of October 29. In addition, there is a red alert in Almería, Andalusia.

Faced with this threat of new rains, the Government of the Iberian nation decided to suspend the sending of humanitarian aid and human equipment for removal work, causing greater indignation among those affected who are still in these territories.
