La Bandola National Festival in 2026 will be held in the month of April in Barinas

The state of Barinas will host the National La Bandola Festival in 2026, as announced by the governor of the entity, Adán Chávez, during the reinauguration of the Monument to La Bandola Nutreña in the Industrial Network.

This musical event will be held in homage to the remembered Barinese musician Anselmo López, who is known as the King of the Bandola and the event is scheduled for April 21, 2026, coinciding with the artist's date of birth.

The festival seeks to bring together bandolists from all over the country, promoting cultural exchange to ensure the preservation of this artistic expression.

During the activity, the governor instructed the president of the state's Autonomous Institute of Culture, Juan Chacón, to immediately initiate the necessary coordination with various cultural entities and organizations to ensure the success and magnitude of this event.

“With this great national festival, in homage to the remembered Anselmo López, we reiterate our support for culture, for cultivators, for folklore, so from now on we have to organize ourselves to make it a successful festival,” he emphasized
