La Guaira: More than 1 thousand patients were treated during the National Surgical Plan 2024

A total of 1,777 patients
underwent surgery as part of the fifth day of the La
Guaira 2024 National Surgical Plan, according to information published on the web portal of a
well-known national newspaper.
In this regard, the state's single health authority, Nelare
Bermúdez, explained that for five consecutive days, the goal of
850 patients (achieved so far) was exceeded, who benefited from elective surgeries of low, medium and high complexity.
Bermúdez explained that on this
day, cases were treated in the specialties of general surgery,
pediatrics, traumatology, orthopedics, urology and otorhinolaryngology and some oncological
cases operated on with the support of 200 specialists from the Carlos Arvelo
Military Hospital, in Caracas; the Ana
Teresa de Jesús Ponce Maternal and Child Hospital , in Macuto; José María Vargas, from La Guaira and Rafael Medina
