Labor Ministry oversees labor production at Rio Turbio sugar mill in Lara

The Minister of Popular Power for the Social Work Process, Eduardo Piñate, oversaw the maintenance plan, adaptation and complex engineering processes at the Rio Turbio Sugar Plant, located in the state of Lara (Barquisimeto). The inspection was carried out together with the governor of Lara, Luis Reyes Reyes.

Piñate observed a milling cycle of 5,000 tons of refined sugar, highlighting the execution at the hands of workers whom he described as “ingenious”.

He recognized that in Venezuela there is a working class that is getting stronger and increasingly, “ more aware of its role and responsibility to increase national production and continue to lift the economy with our brother, President Nicolás Maduro. This working class is not only arguing, but it is building, taking on the three fundamental tasks: production, training and defense.”
