Lara Governorate delivers food combos to grandparents and grandmothers

The Bolivarian Government, through the government of Lara and the vice-ministry of Supply and Logistics of the Food portfolio, developed a day of the Plan for Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Homeland, in the city of Barquisimeto. The action benefited 2,702 grandparents and grandmothers.
Deputy Minister Fidel Manrique explained that the activity was carried out at the Guillermo Carratú gymnasium in Cabudare and through it, food packages were delivered, which took place in the midst of four days of social assistance, which also included health care, recreation and barbershop service.
“In the name of President Nicolás Maduro, we continue to dignify our grandparents who are part of this process of inclusion and social justice,” says a press release from the entity's government.
For his part, Adolfo Pereira, the state's first civil authority, said that only in a revolution is it possible to claim the rights of older adults, who form the first generation of the country.
