Lennox Andrews: We must face the challenges of poverty in the region

The Minister of Economic Development of Grenada, Lennox Andrews, urged to face the challenges of poverty so that by 2030 it will be one of prosperity for the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean.
During the XXIV ALBA-TCP Summit, he indicated the importance of continuing to work on a financial cooperation mechanism for economic independence.
“We have to leave a free and stable region to future generations,” he said.
He expressed the importance of the financial muscle of ALBA-TCP as a solid base for the region.
“In these 20 years, ALBA-TCP has done a lot for Latin America and the Caribbean. We honor Fidel and Chávez as the founders of this body,” he said.
