The Librería del Sur in Upata, Bolívar state, carried out an activity dedicated to promoting the value of craftsmanship behind traditional Venezuelan sounds, with an exhibition starring the creator of instruments Pedro Arzola, to honor Venezuelan musicians.

Arzola, renowned for his career and family heritage, shared his experience as a builder, musician and composer. In addition, he recalled that he learned the trade at the age of 10 guided by his father, which marked the beginning of a life dedicated to the making of popular instruments.

During the day, about 13 musicians from different genres gathered, who participated in the show and offered live performances using four, guitar, drum, maracas and violin.

The meeting made it possible to show not only the process of making the instruments, but also their sound in execution, creating a space for training and exchange between artisans and artists, with the aim of strengthening the preservation of the country's sound traditions and bringing the public closer to the cultural value of handmade instruments.
