“This is the time, compatriots, to show the world that Venezuela creates, produces and exports, and it does so with pride, it does so with patriotism, and we hope that it will be a very fruitful meeting today, the first of many between now and the Fair in Türkiye,” said the Minister of the People's Power for Foreign Trade, Coromoto Godoy, when she opened the Made in Venezuela Business Fair — Türkiye 2025 in Caracas, as a meeting prior to the fair to be held also in Istanbul in the month of June.

From the José Félix Ribas Hall, of the Teatro Teresa Carreño cultural complex, in Caracas, Minister Godoy greeted and celebrated the presence of the authorities of the Türkiye embassy, headed by the diplomat Nassim Aydan Karamanoglu, and businessmen from that country, as well as from Venezuelan business and commercial sectors.

“It's about putting ourselves in internationalization mode of our export offer, prioritizing the market such as Türkiye, where complementarity and cooperation greatly facilitate these processes, these initiatives of our governments,” the minister summarized in her opening words.

“We are convinced, dear compatriot businessmen, that the year 2025 will mark a milestone in the consolidation of exporting Venezuela, and we will continue on the path of economic growth,” he predicted.

He reported that trade between Venezuela and Türkiye increased by 29% in 2024, compared to 2023, so that the non-oil trade balance has a market of approximately 500 million dollars. “Hence the importance for us of this international fair, which will open the doors for Venezuelan products to a regional market whose cornerstone is the sister country.”

He also assured that the second business meeting, to be held in June in Türkiye, must be crystallized in concrete and practical agreements with important and new businesses that aim at the growth of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of both nations.

“Today we are making the formal call for the participation of the Venezuelan productive apparatus in the first business fair held in Venezuela, we will hold it in Istanbul next June. It is no coincidence that this friendly country, a beautiful sister country, is our important commercial partner with a growing and highly complementary exchange, with enormous potential to continue to deepen.”
