The state company Maderas del Orinoco (MDO) ended 2025 with results that strengthen the national production model and consolidate the recovery of the Venezuelan forestry sector, increasing its turnover by 152% compared to 2024.

In the same way, it achieved a 54% reduction in forest fires within plantations in the Uverito forest, with the construction and maintenance of perimeter firewalls and alternate roads, as well as timely attention during periods of drought.
Hand in hand with the protection of forest heritage, MDO increased its operational capacity to 47%, increasing round-up production by 132% -the highest level in the last 13 years-, increasing the production of pine chips by 600% and exporting more than 99,000 tons of chips to the international market.
