Magglio Ordóñez to be inducted into the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame in Class 2026

Former Venezuelan player Magglio Ordóñez will officially enter the Latin Baseball Hall of Fame as a member of Class 2026, at the ceremony scheduled for next December at the facilities of the Center for Fine Arts in Caguas, Puerto Rico.

Ordóñez accumulated a 15-season career in the major leagues defending the jerseys of the Chicago White Sox and the Detroit Tigers.

During his time in the majors, he left a lifetime batting average of .309 and garnered outstanding individual awards: 6 All-Star selections, 3 Silver Bate awards, and an American League batting title in 2007 (with an average of .363), according to a post by Caribes de Anzoátegui on his Instagram account.

The Venezuelan outfielder will share this honor with three other Latin American baseball figures: Dominicans Albert Pujols and Edwin Encarnación, and Puerto Rican receiver Yadier Molina.
