Major League Professional Baseball will begin season on May 17

Major League Professional Baseball announced the start of its fifth season on Saturday, May 17. The opening day will be held simultaneously in the stadiums of Caracas, Valencia, Barquisimeto and La Guaira. Due to the remodeling work at the José Pérez Colmenares stadium in Maracay, the novena of Samanes and Guerreros will play their games at Antonio Herrera Gutiérrez.

The first day of the season will start at 5:00pm with the clashes of Delfines de La Guaira vs. Senators from Caracas (Caracas), Samanes de Aragua vs. Leaders of Miranda (Valencia), Marineros de Carabobo vs. Guerreros de Lara (Barquisimeto) and District Chiefs vs. Centaurs of La Guaira (La Guaira).

So far, the teams that have confirmed their managers are Senators from Caracas, under the direction of Jackson Melian; District Chiefs, with Robert Pérez in charge; and Guerreros de Lara, led by Pedro González. The rest of the franchises are expected to announce their strategies soon, the sports press reported.
