Mayor Meléndez: More than 500 Food Supply Days are held in the country

With a firm commitment to ensuring the direct care and well-being of Venezuelan families, a Food Supply Day was held this Saturday in the parish of La Vega, in Caracas.

The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, who toured the fair together with the head of Government of the Capital District, Nahum Fernández and the Minister of Popular Power for Food, Carlos Leal Tellería, said that this day is one of more than 500 simultaneous days taking place at the national level.

Meléndez highlighted that 54 tons of food are distributed in the community of La Vega, but in Caracas there are a total of 820 tons allocated and deployed in the different communes.

“It's not just food; this is a comprehensive social day, there are medicines, health and the different doctors serving our people in the community, the Community Vacation Plan, the Laugh Plan, Breastfeeding, the Digital Bank of Workers giving loans to entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs,” emphasized Mayor Meléndez.

During its statements, the capital authority expressed its recognition of the social policies of the Bolivarian Government led by the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighting the institutional response capacity following the recent climatic and natural contingencies suffered in the country.

“Despite adversities, such as the double earthquake that occurred recently, the distribution of food in Caracas has not stopped here. Long live Venezuela! , Venezuela is reborn! , Caracas is reborn! “, added Meléndez.
