The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, supervised the progress of the work being carried out in the General Cemetery of the South for the construction of a new road, which will benefit some 13,500 people in the Santa Eduvigis neighborhood, Santa Rosalía parish.

Through his social networks, Meléndez assured that “now the communities of the point and circle of the General Cemetery of the South will be able to move more quickly and safely, through the new route that we are developing in this cemetery.”

He stated that this work “will favor both those who travel by foot and by vehicle, and this Sunday, December 7, we came to inspect the progress of the works together with the Minister of People's Power for Public Works, Juan José Ramírez Luces.”

In a video attached to the publication, Meléndez highlighted that “we are reviewing the works, seeing the progress of the road that will connect with the neighborhood”.

He emphasized that the relocation protocols for those who live in the Santa Eduvigis neighborhood have been complied with.

For his part, Minister Ramírez Luces reported that pre-mixed concrete has currently been emptied with high resistance, guaranteeing the passability of vehicles that will take place here in the cemetery, as well as pedestrians.
