Mayor of Caracas: We will assume the commitment to defend the Homeland

The mayor of Caracas, A/J Carmen Meléndez, during the working meeting with the Revolutionary Forces, supported the commitment of the National Government to the People and rejected the destabilizing acts usually promoted by the fascist right.

“We will assume the commitment to defend the Homeland, our beloved Venezuela, we have co-responsibility with the Fatherland. We remember (Commander Hugo) Chávez, who asked us for the unity of the patriots,” he said.

In this regard, he stressed that the collectives have come forward to defend the Homeland and protect all the people throughout the national territory. “In Caracas there is the center of power and what is happening here can be replicated throughout Venezuela, but here in Caracas nothing happens and we will guarantee the peace and sovereignty of the Fatherland.”

“Caracas and Miranda are ready for anything. We have to take care of all the entrances, we are ready to do anything. I appreciate the effort in every battle where we have faced fascism,” he said.
