Mérida is ready to receive thousands of tourists at the International Sun Fair

The governor of the state of Mérida, Jehyson Guzmán, reaffirmed that the entity is ready to receive hundreds of tourists at the 54th edition of the International Sun Fair 2025, which kicks off the carnival holiday in the state offering unique cultural, gastronomic, business, musical, sports and recreational experiences.

Guzman recalled that the fair activities began on January 31 with the presentation of the candidates and run until March 3.

In this regard, he specified that as part of the program this Thursday, February 27, the coronation of the queen of carnival is contemplated.

As for musical events, he indicated that there will be two stages: one located in the center of the city of Mérida with different options and international artists and national artists from February 26 to 28 and a second musical stage that will be located in the Glorias Patrias sector, from March 1 to 3.

He emphasized that next March 2nd, the traditional fair parade will be held on Las Américas Avenue, which seeks to rescue culture through different local events, accompanied by show bands, troupes and floats.
