The Government of Mexico dispatched a shipment of essential supplies to Cuba to support the island's recovery after its recent energy and climate crises. The measure, coordinated by the administration of Claudia Sheinbaum, seeks to guarantee access to critical supplies for the Cuban population in compliance with regional cooperation agreements.

Announcing the measure, President Claudia Sheinbaum said: "Mexico reaffirms its commitment to international solidarity and respect for the sovereignty of peoples in the face of the difficulties faced by the sister nation.”

The operation includes the transfer of electrical materials, food and medicines collected by institutions of the Mexican State. Regarding the continuity of these programs, President Sheinbaum added: “Our foreign policy will always prioritize mutual support in Latin America, especially at times when the well-being of families is at risk.”

With this shipment, Mexico consolidates its role as a strategic ally in the Caribbean and reinforces its tradition of humanitarian assistance without political conditions. The supplies are scheduled to arrive in the next few days, marking a new chapter in diplomatic relations between the two countries.
