MINEC and PNB seized more than 990 kilos of salty slime and chiguire meat

Officials from the Bolivarian National Police and the Ministry of Ecosocialism (MINEC) seized, in two procedures carried out in the state of Barinas, 990.7 kilos of salted slime and chiguire meat.

According to a MINEC publication, it was carried out in the city of Barinas where officials located a total of 7 baskets containing 270.70 kilograms of salted chigüire.

The second seizure took place in the Pedraza municipality, where members of the GNB Zone Command No. 33 detected 26 salty pieces of slime weighing 170 kilos and 39 salty pieces of chigüire equivalent to 550 kilograms.

“The use of wildlife specimens can only be carried out on permitted species, after processing and complying with the strict environmental controls provided for in the standard,” the Ecosocialism office reported.
