After five years of inactivity, Central Venezuela restarted its productive operations in the Sucre municipality of the state of Zulia on Monday, October 13, marking a new step in the industrial and agro-productive reactivation of the west of the country, according to the website of the International Center for Productive Investment (CIIP).

This achievement was achieved under the guidelines of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro and thanks to the joint work of the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez; the Ministry of Popular Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands, led by Julio León Heredia; the Ministry of Popular Power for Industries and National Production, in charge of Alex Saab; and the CIIP.

The recovery process of Central Venezuela began five months ago and today it is a reality thanks to private investment that believes in alliances with the Venezuelan State, promoted by President Maduro through the CIIP, as part of the national strategy to strengthen production, food sovereignty and economic independence of the country.

The reactivation of Central Venezuela will make it possible to process sugar cane from the southern valleys of Lake Maracaibo, generating employment, boosting the local economy and contributing to the productive revival of Zulia.

This coordinated effort is consolidated as a successful model of public-private partnership, aimed at boosting domestic production, replacing imports and moving towards a productive, diversified and self-sufficient Venezuela.
