Minister Alex Saab: Venezuela is able to replace up to 8 billion dollars in imports

The Minister of Industries and National Production, Alex Saab, during the Con Maduro+ program, assured that Venezuela has the infrastructure, technology, human capital and the domestic market to increase production so that after covering the domestic market it can allocate the surplus to exports.

“We are importing around 8 billion dollars worth of non-oil products. The national public and private industrial park can supply that market, we can project ourselves to be leaders in Latin America as an exporting country,” he said.

In this regard, President Nicolás Maduro stressed that Venezuela is already in a position to export its products.

“Six years ago, sanctions and the economic war brought production to zero. Now we are in the rebirth of the economy,” said the president.
