Minister Ángel Prado: The Balance of the National System of Popular Government is highly positive

The Minister of Popular Power for Communes, Social Movements and Urban Agriculture, Ángel Prado, assured that the Balance of the National System of Popular Government is highly positive, since in 21 months of the Popular Consultations, a significant number of projects have been promoted that have had the necessary resources to solve multiple social problems.

In this direction, in his speech in the National Hall of the Popular Government System, where the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, led a Review of the management and actions of this National System, Prado maintained that this process has not only allowed immediate needs to be met, it has also served to reactivate all instances of the Communes in the popular base.

“In the Self-Government Room, the Commune transforms and legislates the rules that are presented through the assemblies. We have the Community Bank as a central pilot, from where planning begins,” he explained.

He added that “the comptroller's office strengthens the moral solvency of the Commune and guarantees accountability for resources. The Commune is the planning unit that, by reviving the spirit, promotes the needs of each territory.”

For his part, the sectoral vice-president of Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, stated that the Plan of the Seven Transformations and the Concrete Agendas of Action (ACA) represent a shock throughout the State, linked to the reality of communities.

“Each Commune, through its ACA, provides immediate answers to face structural challenges. The 1×10 System becomes an essential mechanism within the Self-Government Rooms, where reports are generated and needs are channeled,” he said.
