This Friday, Deputy Tania Díaz and the Minister of Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, issued a wake-up call to parents about viral challenges and the use of technology to access them.
During the broadcast of the program Sin Truco Ni Maña, in reference to the regrettable events that have been caused by challenges on social networks, the deputy urged parents to review what their children use mobile phones on, what social networks they see and to time the schedules of use.
“Revise some content that doesn't work, that is used in a harmful way... They choose children as targets, with issues that are not specific to their age or condition. You can simply direct the algorithm,” Diaz said.
In this regard, he stressed that there is a campaign aimed at boys and girls from the age of 12 “especially girls, who offer them to be models”. For his part, Cabello pointed out that from this “comes prostitution, human trafficking in its crudest expression, where coyotes are experts”.
“All this is linked to the criminals who direct the migration of Venezuelans for their political reasons 'who are going to overthrow the government'; no lie, what they have is a business... “, added the minister.
