The Sectorial Vice President for Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, assured that the extremist right's unveiled terrorist plan called “No to Christmas”, “was going to be (executed) sooner, but the coup that was struck to them recently with the batch of confiscated weapons” delayed its implementation.
“Let's remember the confiscated weapons they found in Zulia, it was a group of rifles that was part of the investigation,” he said.
The minister for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, also stressed that “we always say what we can, we can't say everything, but they are linked to this operation (“No to Christmas”)”.
He pointed out that the terrorists “made videoconferences, which we even have on some confiscated phones, the report of those videoconferences, where Mr. I van Simonovis was, who told them not to worry about weapons, that they would overcome the blow we had given him with a batch of weapons that were going to enter Colombia, weapons and explosives that they were going to use.”
The explanation was made by Cabello, during his participation in the Digital Zone Segment, of the 68th edition of the program “With Maduro+”, conducted by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro,
He also stated that they are working painstakingly to completely end the plan of violence implemented by the Venezuelan opposition.
He pointed out that “we have really worked like little ants in silence, we had to send the colleagues who are doing the research from Caracas, they are not from the state of Zulia, they are from Caracas. When they arrived, they began the operation.”
“Unfortunately, the tentacles of economic power, drug trafficking, paramilitaries, fear, made us take that prediction,” he stressed.
