Minister Cabello: Passage along the José Antonio Páez Highway will be restored within 60 days

The sectoral vice-president for Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, stressed that approximately in about 60 days, possibly sooner, work will be ready to rebuild the José Antonio Páez Highway pass, affected by recent rains in the Portuguese state.
“Already today there is the equipment to begin the work as you ordered, from the Ministry of Transport, the Government teams, ready for the reconstruction work of the highway pass,” he said.
The announcement was made on the José Antonio Páez Highway, in the spaces of the Bridge over the Guache Viejo River, in the Ospino municipality of the Portuguese state, as part of the activity of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, who offered a Balance of Deployment of the Task Force, Andes 2025.
The Minister for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace also specified that, as a result of the intense rains, an artificial lagoon of about 65 hectares, “overflowed, broke the dam and came to search for its channel”.
“Nature always claims its course, a bridge was carried ahead, fortunately there were no human losses,” he said.
In this regard, he pointed out that eight municipalities are affected in the entity, “the machines are already repairing the roads (...) the People's Power never tires, all those who are here are spokespersons for the People's Power, they came to express their support and to work together, united.”
“This is an integral job, of the Government, of the People's Power, the National Government, but it is also the work of our security forces here in the state,” he said.
