Minister Cabello: The People have to feel that where a patrol arrives, friends are arriving

During the activation of 87 new Peace Quadrants in Monagas state to add 199, the Minister for Internal Relations Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, stressed the importance of continuing to strengthen the awareness of the country's police officers, as well as the trust of the People in their security agents.

“Today our people have to feel that where a patrol arrives, friends and friends are arriving,” she said, while warning those who seek to join the police forces to commit acts of corruption. 

 “Whoever thinks they can enter the UNES (National Experimental Security University), a police force for personal benefit, don't do it, return. Whoever believes that they can belong to a State security agency to extort money is getting into tremendous trouble because at some point that will be discovered and the moment it is discovered against you, the full weight of the law will come,” he emphasized.

In this regard, he stressed the importance of generating mutual trust between the People and the country's police agencies.

“The police have to be from the people and the people have to belong to the police,” he said.
