Minister Cabello to repatriated compatriots: Welcome to the Homeland of Bolivar, a territory of peace!

“Welcome and welcome to the Homeland of Bolivar, a land of peace and Bolivarian”, were the words addressed by the vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, when addressing the 177 compatriots who arrived in the country this Thursday night from the Guantánamo military base where they were being held by the United States immigration authorities.
“For us it is very exciting that these colleagues are entering our homeland, that they are arriving in our country (...) it is a logistical effort that is being made to get them back to their family. It's an additional effort together with the Plan Back to the Fatherland,” he said.
The Minister for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace also called for “countries to see that we have always been open to Venezuelans, victims of a great media campaign, to return to their country and embrace their families in a loving way.”
