Minister Cardillo recognized the quality of organization of the state of Táchira in Community Games

As part of the second day of competitions, the Minister of Popular Power for Sports, Franklin Cardillo, visited the state of Táchira, where he noted the development of the disciplines being contested in the entity and recognized the regional effort and the quality of the organization

Cardillo expressed his satisfaction with the organization and the competitive level observed in the state's sports facilities, asserting that it is a high-profile organization, according to the Ministry of Sports press.

“We thank Governor Freddy Bernal, for all his support at the head of the state's organizing committee and the fellow president of the state's Sports Institute, José Freites, who have guaranteed all the necessary conditions for everything to go smoothly in Táchira,” said the Minister.

He also stressed that these games make it possible to advance in sports mass and in the recruitment of new talent that will be part of future national teams.

“We can see here, a good competitive level that guides us on the path to sports mass and we are already doing the work of the selection, attracting talent from all these athletes who are going to be part of the pre-elections,” he added.

The Minister recalled that the Community Games constitute a structure of participation that involves thousands of young people throughout the national territory.

“It is important to inform the country that these games began in the month of August with the intercommunal phase where the 47,000 community councils participated and we managed to classify more than 6,000 athletes who today are representing each of their states in 27 sports disciplines. This is part of the communal competitive system that is here to stay,” he said.

He also announced that the national sports calendar for 2026 will be extensive and will include university, indigenous and youth games, in addition to the fact that Venezuela will host the Bolivarian Youth Games in Caracas.

“Our country has demonstrated sports growth, Venezuela ranked second in the recent Bolivarian Games with an excellent result and with this massive sports we are going to turn Venezuela into a sports powerhouse,” Cardillo said.
