The sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, led the event on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of the creation of the National Experimental Security University (UNES).

In his words, he ratified Venezuela's progress along the path of the Bolivarian Revolution and Commander Hugo Chávez and recalled that police officers, during the Fourth Republic, were used “to look after clubs, bingos, hotels, and not to serve the people. That has to end and that ends here in this institution, here in this place.”

He congratulated the members of the house of studies on the celebration of this new anniversary. “I feel part of you, I feel like another cadet, another student, I feel identified. So congratulations on Youth Day yesterday, and congratulations today on the 16th anniversary of this prestigious institution,” he said.

During the ceremony to celebrate the institution's anniversary, Cabello urged students not to feel that they are in any way complex. “ We are in a revolution, a revolution whose fundamental axis is the People, our people,” he emphasized. He recalled that police officers, during the Fourth Republic, were used “to look after clubs, bingos, hotels, and not to serve the people. That has to end and that ends here in this institution, here in this place.”
