From the El Guarataro sector in Caracas, the Minister for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, highlighted the levels of security that the entire country is exhibiting today as a result of the policy promoted by the Bolivarian Government, strengthened in recent years with the Popular-Military-Police Fusion.

“Even if they deny from outside that we are at peace and that we have a safe country, Venezuelans do feel that and they know that is what is happening,” he said during his speech at the launch of the Peace Quadrants in the city of Caracas.

He recalled that in the 90s in the city of Caracas there were dozens of deaths every weekend, with shootings and murders to steal shoes becoming normalized.

“We came from the 90s when people were being killed for a pair of shoes, when in Caracas on a weekend there were 40, 50 dead,” he recalled while stressing that, as a result of the security policy promoted by the Bolivarian Government, “today we can present Caracas and Venezuela a country in peace and security.”

He stressed that currently, police forces maintain special coordination with the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) to ensure the flow of information and effective joint deployment in any area of the country.
