Minister for Tourism welcomed more than 500 Russian seasonal workers to Margarita Island

At the Santiago Mariño International Airport in Nueva Esparta, the Minister for Popular Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez, welcomed more than 550 Russian tourists to Margarita Island, who get to know the destinations offered by the Neo-Spartan entity and the country.

“Margarita is the gateway to Venezuela, but they are also visiting Caracas, Los Roques, Canaima, as I said on another occasion, and tourists are not only staying in Margarita, but they are visiting new destinations because we are generating new tourist routes throughout the country,” he said.

In addition, he specified that Venezuela today has more than 700 tourist routes certified and validated by the tourism portfolio, for the enjoyment of national and international tourists. At the same time, he highlighted the growth of domestic tourism, which so far has more than 2 million Venezuelans who enjoy the various tourist destinations offered by the country.

This operation, which is part of the routes reactivated two weeks ago, shows the country's commitment to the diversification of its productive apparatus, in line with the guidelines of the Seven Transformations (7T) of the Bolivarian Government, a Venezuelan Television report.
