The Minister for Productive Agriculture and Lands, Julio León Heredia, announced that coffee exports increased this year by 500% more than in 2024

During the closing of the 4th Venezuelan specialty coffee meeting 2025, he highlighted that the 2025-2026 harvest is one of the largest in history in Venezuela. “We are increasing production by 55% percent, that is, from 3.2 million quintals this year our coffee farmers are giving 4.7 million quintals to the Venezuelan people for domestic consumption and export,” he said.

León Heredia asserted that this increase reflects what Venezuela's economic recovery is, the impact of the prosperity plan promoted by President Nicolás Maduro and that the people have taken it and accompanied it.

“Coffee complies with those acronyms that you have asked us for president, such as the PAE, we have production, domestic supply and export,” he emphasized.

The minister said that at this international meeting, more than 130 exhibitors attended, who showed six varieties of coffee and one roaster for producers; eight National Tasters and nine International Tasters who evaluated the coffees, where the winners are representatives of the states Trujillo, Mérida and Carabobo.
