Minister López: New culture plan strengthens national identity

The Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Alejandro López, reported that the National Reading Plan is aimed at strengthening national identity, the protection of cultural heritage and the revival of the Venezuelan affirmative.

During an interview with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), López highlighted that the bases were laid out to build a plan, update it and present it to the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.

“Taking into account the historical legacy, cultural heritage and national identity, which are three principles that have instructed us for management,” he said.

The minister added that the initiative also seeks to revive the Great Mission Viva Venezuela, My Beloved Homeland, and is part of the celebration of the bicentenary of Bolivar's return to Maracaibo, scheduled for December 16, 2026, while calling on young people to join this project.
