The Minister of the People's Power of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Juan Carlos Loyo, this Friday, November 08, stressed that the “investment column in the last quarter has doubled in exports to China with 50,000 tons.”
This was reported in an interview during the International Import Fair in China (CIIE 2024), which is being held in Shanghai, published on his Instagram account.
Loyo highlighted that the country is participating in the fair “for three major purposes: to bring products Made in Venezuela to the Chinese market, to emphasize the bonds of friendship between nations and to confirm that we are still China's best partner in all of America as a shared community.”
He also pointed out that at the economic meeting, Venezuela comes with 63 companies and 100 business representatives, that “in the case of fishing, several agreements have been signed, there is a lot of interest on the part of the Chinese market in learning about products and Venezuelan fishing and aquaculture.”
Another important point addressed during the interview was the signing of several agreements between Chinese and Venezuelan companies that will contribute to the growth of trade relations between the two countries.
The exhibition this year has the participation of more than 128 countries and a thousand leading entities in their industries, and Venezuela has met with representatives of companies, who have expressed their interest in investing in the country.
The Venezuelan pavilion highlights the wealth of natural resources, and also the talent and creativity of Venezuelan producers, who work tirelessly to bring the best of the country to the world.
