The Minister of Popular Power for Older Adults, Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Homeland, Magally Viña Castro, led a comprehensive health day at the Casa de Abuelos “Rosa Inés Chávez”, in Caracas, where more than 900 elderly people were treated free of charge.
The day was held this Monday, October 13, as part of the relaunch of the first summit of the Great Mission of Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland: “Integral Health”, this ministerial body reported on its account on the social network Instagram,
Viña accompanied the country's grandparents on this health day, whose main objective was to re-educate about good eating habits.
He also recalled the importance of physical activity in older adults.
Regarding the health services offered during the day:
* General medical care and evaluation of vital signs.
* Blood pressure and blood glucose controls.
* Nutritional guidance and recommendations for the prevention of chronic diseases.
* Exercise and mobility workshops for the elderly.
* Placement of dental prostheses with assessment, according to needs.
In addition, grandparents who participated in the event received information about social support programs, as well as the streamlining of procedures for beneficiaries of the Great Mission Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland.
