Minister Ñáñez: “Influencers” abroad are operators of psychological warfare

The sectoral vice-president of Communication, Culture and Tourism and Minister of Popular Power for Communication, Freddy Ñáñez, warned that influencers such as George Harris, Enmanuel Rincón and Rolando Avenaño, among others, are operators of psychological warfare.

During the radio program Cable a Tierra, he indicated that influencers were key to the destabilization of the country the days after the results of the July 28 elections.

In this regard, he pointed out that the influencer, Greg “GregAventuras” Sewo, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina received 400 dollars to produce audiovisual materials that would encourage protests against the Bolivarian Government.

“We must discriminate against those who are operators of psychological warfare and those who express themselves freely. But, in both cases, the content of what they publish has its consequences,” he emphasized.

On the other hand, he reported that the page of the extreme right wing María Corina Machado issued false information about the elections to execute her fascist plan against the country.

“What highlights the deception with which this portal was built, it did not have a record, but a perfectly examinable image,” he stressed while stressing that 83% of them lacked metadata, that is, specific information such as the time of scanning or the program used to digitize, according to a press release from VTV.
