This Friday, the First Regional Forestry Meeting - Eastern Chapter was installed as part of the relaunch of the Venezuelan Forest Engine.

Information was released through a post on the Telegram account of the Minister for Ecosocialism, Freddy Ñañez, who explained that during the activity, “producers, nurserymen, industrialists, sawmills, carpenters and entrepreneurs who live in this important production chain” were heard.

Ñañez pointed out that the “best way to protect forests is to accompany the forestry sector that works within the law and is committed to sustainability.”

He also added that the “best ally of the forest is a legal, responsible and sustainable forestry activity. When the forest generates employment, well-being and future, society finds reasons to conserve it.”

Finally, he emphasized that the Bolivarian government is moving towards a model based on legal certainty, product traceability, compliance with the Forest Law and an export vision based on the highest environmental standards.
