Minister Padrino López: The People of Venezuela have taught the world a new lesson

During the electoral process this Sunday, May 25, the Venezuelan people ratified their democratic, pacifist vocation and their historic right to the Essequibo, said the sectoral vice-president of Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace, G/J Vladimir Padrino López.

“The People of Venezuela have given a new lesson to the world, despite permanent imperialist aggression, despite attempts to impose fascism in our country, Venezuela has spoken again and has said: here is popular sovereignty asserting its voice, its national consensus,” he highlighted in statements offered this Sunday night.

He also highlighted the civic behavior of the population during this election holiday. “We are setting an example in the world of people's participation and leadership. We are building a true, genuine, authentic, revolutionary democracy,” he emphasized.

In the same way, the military leader highlighted the wide electoral offer that voters had this Sunday, while recalling that more than 50 political organizations and more than 6 thousand candidates participated in this electoral event.

“Today Venezuela is victorious with its democracy. Aware of your destiny and your progress towards a promising future, a future that we are building in permanent rejection of sanctions. The People came out today to vote for peace in the Republic,” he emphasized.
