Minister Padrón: Venezuela will receive more than 1.5 million international tourists in 2024

The Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Ali Padrón, said that during the year 2024, it is estimated that Venezuela will receive more than 1.5 million international tourists.

During his participation in the 360° program, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, he stressed that “in the state of Nueva Esparta there are many more destinations to visit besides the beaches”.

In this regard, he highlighted that the week that ended “flights from Russia, Poland, Trinidad and Tobago and different parts of the world arrived directly to the island”.

Padrón also mentioned the economic growth achieved by the state of Nueva Esparta. “Margarita is very tasty, a lot of new places (...) there are new ventures,” he said.

He also stressed the population's desire for hope to continue to trust the country, as well as in tourism.

“A lot of good things are being done in Venezuela and one of the things that I get from people: it's the spirit, the hope that people have that situations will continue to improve and we will continue to move forward,” he said.

He added that, as stated by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, we must “build a Venezuela that has tourism, one of its fundamental elements of growth, development and social inclusion.”

On the other hand, he reported that in the country, the security incident rate is 0.6%, information that tourists support “you can see when they are walking on the streets without any fear”.
