Minister Piñate: The Working Class holds more than 10,000 grassroots Assemblies of the Constituent Congress

The Minister of Popular Power for the Social Process of Labor, Eduardo Piñate during the balance day of the grassroots meetings, which are held throughout the country, as part of the convening of the Constituent Congress of the Working Class.
The National Promoting Committee of the Congress has been responsible for planning the tasks, methodology and schedule for these more than 10,000 assemblies where 50,000 delegates were chosen in the various workplaces.
The Congress is scheduled to be held in the month of December, coinciding with the commemoration of the Bolivarian Constitution of Venezuela.
At a balance day chaired by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, he reported that 10,289 meetings have been held throughout the national territory, a figure that he expects to increase, given that the process of this organizational formula ends this Friday.
He also indicated that 30,679 main delegates have been elected by rank-and-file workers and estimated that they could approach or even exceed 50,000, by the month of December, when the Constituent Congress is expected to take place.
Worker mobilization has encompassed all economic and institutional sectors, including Productive Engines, with special emphasis on areas such as basic education, public administration, transportation, health, the agri-food sector, and a significant participation of entrepreneurs (285 assemblies), hydrocarbons (232 assemblies), and construction and cement (172 assemblies).
Minister Piñate assured that the Constituent Congress of the Working Class will have a central impact on the future of Venezuelan society, the productive process and the construction of socialism.
She also explained that the participation of women as delegates has also shown significant growth, although men maintain a majority in the election.
