This Tuesday, August 27, the Minister of Popular Power for the Communes, Ángel Prado, emphasized that projects continue to be completed in the communities and now they are preparing to begin construction on the new projects of the Second National Popular Consultation, whose resources will begin to arrive this week.

“Sunday was a day of Popular Reunion, it was a day when all the country's revolutionary forces met and agreed on the need to deepen the Bolivarian Revolution. In 4,508 territories there were elections and prioritization of projects,” he said during the Meeting with the Communes and Balance of the Second National Popular Consultation.

He explained that of the projects elected in the 4,508 territories, 22% of the approved projects were for comprehensive water management, 13% for improvements to electrical services, 13% for the rehabilitation of educational spaces, 11% for the rehabilitation of rural-urban roads, 11% for the rehabilitation of health spaces, 8% for the rehabilitation of environmental spaces and 6% for the construction of retaining walls.

He pointed out that so far 93% of the minutes of this electoral process are already available and only those that come from rural cities in the country are missing.

He also highlighted the importance of this day, in which people with ideologies contrary to the Revolution also participated, “because they are also interested in solving community problems.”

He emphasized that Venezuela, with initiatives such as those of the National Popular Consultation, builds its own democracy, in which the People are the protagonists and express the will to build the new.
