Minister Reverol: 169,000 tons of waste have been collected from the shores of Lake Maracaibo

The sector vice-president of Public Works and Services, M/G Néstor Reverol Torres, reported that to date, a total of 169,000 tons of waste have been collected from the coast of Maracaibo.
“Since his visit on July 24 at the Bicentennial of the Naval Battle of the Lake, we have been working together with scientific, technical, political and social actors for the recovery of Lake Maracaibo and we have created a master plan,” the official explained to the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, who developed his Con Maduro+ program from the city of Maracaibo, capital of the beloved Land of the Sun.
He specified that it works with 22 fronts through six vertices. “Three Petrleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) vessels were recovered and work is underway on the fourth one that has the capacity to recover 900 barrels of oil in the lake,” he said.
