At a working meeting held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture (MPPC), the institution's highest authority, Ernesto Villegas, asked the Great Mission Viva Venezuela to accompany the Venezuelan people through art and culture at the current historical juncture.

Faced with the political scenario resulting from the kidnapping of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and the First Combatant, Cilia Flores, by American forces, Villegas called for the cultural sector to become the articulating axis of tranquility and national cohesion.

He also emphasized that, in the face of imperial aggression, the Venezuelan people's strongest response is to make use of their “creative powers”. At the same time, he instructed all state cabinets, cultors, artists and artisans to deploy to every square and community to ensure that national identity prevails over the chaos that is being tried to impose from abroad.

During the meeting, the implementation of muralist art was defined with messages that ratify democratic legitimacy and the demand for immediate freedom of the presidential couple. In addition, it was agreed to hold cantatas for peace and cultural days throughout the country, promoting a message of serenity and peaceful resistance.

In the same way, in unison, those present agreed to keep the joy and the diverse expressions of culture as a form of combat. “Today we say, with more force, Long live Venezuela, my dear Homeland,” they said together with Villegas.
